What this policy covers
This policy explains how Earthy Studio handles personal data when you use the Earthy website, mobile app, creation tools, shared video pages, support, and related services.
The data Earthy handles depends on the features you use and the permissions you choose to grant. Please do not submit personal or confidential information that is not needed to create your content.
Account, content, and activity data
Account data can include your name, email address, Earthy user ID, profile details, sign-in provider, age or eligibility confirmation, locale, notification choices, creator preferences, selected causes, and account settings.
Content data can include prompts, ideas, captions, scripts, keyframes, source video links, photos, video, audio, style examples, generated outputs, project history, reports, appeals, support messages, sharing choices, and the instructions or feedback you give while editing.
Activity data can include the templates and features you view or use, creation and render events, purchases and credit activity, shared links, connected posting accounts, and interactions with notifications or public content.
Sign-in, purchases, devices, and diagnostics
Supabase provides Earthy's account, authentication, database, and storage infrastructure. If you sign in with Apple or Google, that provider processes the sign-in and sends Earthy the account details you authorize, such as an account identifier, name, or email address.
For Sign in with Apple account deletion, Earthy exchanges Apple's one-time authorization code for a refresh token and stores only an encrypted copy. Earthy uses that token to revoke its Apple authorization when deletion completes.
Apple processes in-app purchases on iOS through the App Store and StoreKit. Stripe processes purchases made on the web. Earthy receives purchase records such as the product, transaction identifier, status, amount, currency, and receipt or verification result, but does not receive your complete card or Apple payment credentials.
Earthy may receive device and network information needed to operate and secure the service, such as device type, operating system, app version, browser, language, IP address, session identifiers, push notification tokens, and crash or performance information.
How we use data
We use data to authenticate you; save and personalize projects; analyze source material; create, moderate, render, edit, and deliver content; provide keyframe review; maintain credit and purchase records; support sharing and posting choices; send requested notifications; answer support requests; and operate account deletion.
We also use data to prevent fraud and abuse, enforce safety rules, investigate reports and appeals, protect users and the service, debug failures, measure feature performance, improve reliability, comply with law, and keep financial, consent, and safety records.
AI and media processing
KIE.ai is Earthy's AI orchestration and model provider. After you affirmatively agree in a creation flow, Earthy can send your prompts or chat messages, selected photos or media, and creative settings to KIE.ai so KIE.ai can create and safety-check your video.
Earthy sends the materials needed for a task to managed AI, rendering, storage, and moderation providers. Depending on the feature, those materials can include your prompt, source link or retrieved source content, uploaded media, style measurements, keyframes, generated intermediates, and output. We may create resized, sanitized, moderated, thumbnail, preview, or style-analysis derivatives to provide the service safely.
AI providers have their own terms, retention practices, model settings, and legal obligations. Earthy does not promise that every provider excludes submitted data from service or model improvement unless a provider contract and configuration expressly establish that protection. Do not submit content unless you have the right to have it processed in this way.
Analytics, crash reporting, and notifications
When analytics is configured, Earthy uses PostHog to understand product interactions and creation funnels. These events can be associated with your Earthy account ID so activity across signed-in sessions can be understood. Earthy does not use PostHog for third-party targeted advertising or cross-company advertising tracking.
When crash reporting is configured, Earthy uses Sentry to receive crash, error, performance, device, and diagnostic data. Please avoid placing sensitive personal information in prompts, filenames, or support details because an error can include technical context about the action that failed.
If you enable notifications, Earthy stores a browser or device push token and shares what is needed with browser, Expo, Apple, or other delivery infrastructure. You can turn notifications off in Earthy settings or your device or browser settings.
Resend processes the recipient address and completion message when Earthy emails confirmation that an account deletion has finished.
When data is shared
We share data with service providers only as needed for authentication, hosting, storage, AI generation, source analysis, moderation, rendering, payments, analytics, crash reporting, notifications, customer support, and posting you request. Providers can process data in multiple countries and under their own privacy terms.
New public user publication and Earthy share-link creation are unavailable in this release. Earthy can retain records of share links created in an earlier release until they are revoked or the related account is deleted. Content you save, post to a connected social service, or otherwise share outside Earthy can be kept by the platform or recipient. Connected platforms process your content and account data under their own terms.
We may preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect a person's safety, investigate abuse, enforce our terms, or protect Earthy, its users, or the public. Data may also be transferred as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
Retention, local drafts, photos, and footage
Projects, prompts, generated media, purchase history, preferences, and related service records are generally kept while your account is active or as needed to provide the feature. Drafts stored only on your device or browser remain there until you remove them, clear local app data, or uninstall the app. Earthy cannot delete a local copy from a device it can no longer reach.
For photo uploads, the private intake copy is removed after processing when that flow completes. A sanitized and moderated derivative can be kept while a project uses it and is scheduled for deletion 30 days after its last use. If deletion fails, the retention process retries it. Generated videos, keyframes, and other project outputs have a separate lifecycle and are generally kept while your account is active, until account deletion completes, or until Earthy removes them for safety or operational reasons.
Style-example footage is scheduled for deletion 30 days after the style build reaches a completed or failed state. The derived style measurement can remain while your account is active. Source links, retrieved source material, safety evidence, and copies held by AI or other providers can follow different retention periods based on the feature, provider terms, legal requirements, and safety needs.
Account deletion and records we keep
You can request account deletion from Settings. Earthy uses a 30-day grace period during which the request can be canceled. After that period, the deletion process revokes Earthy share links, removes gallery entries and stored account media, deletes the authentication account, and removes account content tied to it. A failed deletion step remains pending so it can be retried.
For a linked Sign in with Apple account, Earthy attempts to revoke its Apple authorization before removing account data. A legacy account without a stored revocation token is still deleted, and its completion email explains how to stop using Earthy Studio from Apple Account settings.
Some records can be retained after deletion when needed for accounting, purchase verification, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal obligations, consent evidence, moderation, child-safety obligations, or security audits. Where the system supports it, Earthy severs the direct account link and keeps those records in pseudonymized or deidentified form. Deletion cannot remove content another person or third-party platform has already copied.
International processing
Earthy and its providers may process data in countries other than the one where you live, including countries with different privacy laws. We select providers and use available contractual, access-control, encryption, and security measures appropriate to the service and data involved.
Your choices and rights
You can update available profile and preference fields, turn off notifications, and request account deletion through available product controls. Account deletion revokes historical Earthy share links. You can also control photo, microphone, speech, and notification permissions in your device settings. Contact support for another privacy request or a choice that the current product does not expose directly.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal data, or to withdraw consent and complain to a regulator. Contact support@earthy.tech to make a request. We may verify your identity and apply legal exceptions before acting.
Children
Earthy is not directed to children under 13. You must also meet any higher minimum digital-consent age that applies where you live. If we learn that an ineligible child provided personal data, we will take appropriate steps to restrict the account and delete or preserve information as child-safety law requires.
Contact and policy changes
Send privacy questions or rights requests to support@earthy.tech. Do not include passwords, payment credentials, or unnecessary sensitive media in your message.
We may update this policy as the service, providers, or law changes. The current version and its effective date will be posted here, and we will provide additional notice when required by law.
